Explanation

Bikaner Festival
is celebrated in the month of January and is dedicated to the Camel, the ship of the desert. The festival starts with a parade of beautifully decorated camels. The parade proceeds to open sand-spreads of the Polo Grounds. Camel races, camel milking, fur cutting, best breed competition, camel acrobatics, and camel bands take place. Beautifully decorated camels dance to the tune of music.
Fireworks and jubilant skirt swirling dancers attract thousands of tourists. Folk dances and songs are performed by famous artists at this festival.
